Italy Travel Photography — Part 3 — Rome, and more Tuscany

Walking on the loosely fitting cobblestone streets of Rome definitely was one of the most memorable experience for our trip. Apparently the city mayor have found the cobble stone street posed too great a risk to the women in high-heels, and decided repave the famed cobblestone streets into the ankle-safe world of the 21st century.

Need no introduction: The Colosseum, an amphitheater in the city center of Rome, Italy. Still remember when we first arrived in Rome, we went back to the Colosseum three separate times in one day just to take it all in. It’s absolutely breathtaking.

Right: Altare della Patria — (Altar of the Fatherland), the monument is built completely of white marble.

Montalcino — Definitely one of our favorite stop of our trip. A hilltown in Tuscany famous for its Brunello di Montalcino wine!

Speaking of Brunello di Montalcino, here we were at Biondi Santi, established in 1880, aka The Father of Brunello wine.

I am living the dream. . .

Another view from Montalcino — everywhere you look is a postcard.

Siena – Piazza del Campo. Regarded as one of Europe’s greatest medieval squares.

Torre del Mangia, is a tower in Sienna. To reach the top of the tower, you’ll be hiking 400 steps in a tight narrow stairway, but you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent views over the city and the countryside.

Mounting 400 steps later, here’s the reward…
