Engagement session with Vivian & Benjie – part 1

Location scouting is definitely the best part of our “job”, and if the location calls for a lengthier transportation time, we’ll just call it travelling.

I met up with this lovely couple in Hong Kong, both of them are currently working in Hong Kong. However Benjie was originally from Vancouver, and Vivian came from China. Connecting with Benjie I quickly realized Vancouver still holds a special place in his heart. And Vivian had only been to Vancouver once, so we thought we must do our part and show off our beautiful city. And in this case, it’s a Pacific West Coast engagement shoot.

And when you scroll down and see the pictures where Vivian & Benjie is by the rock, I literally had to do some rock climbing and climb down a cliff in order to get to my desired shooting position. I always say I will do anything for a good shot, and this time it definitely pushed my comfort level. The surround sound of the waves crashing the rocks at an eye level entrenched by the majestic Pacific Ocean can definitely be intimidating. But it really can’t get more West Coast than this; at one point there was even a bever dashed right in front of me. Sorry, I didn’t react fast enough to take a picture of the fluffy bever.
